News and numbers for the mountains we call home.
A free daily paper, what's coming up around town, and how the county is doing, gathered from public sources. A person reads and approves everything before it goes up.
Coming up around town
Events from local calendars, with a link to each one.
How the county is doing
Jobs, people, business, income and housing, from public data and updated as new numbers come out.
Made here, to look after this place
Allegany AI is a Cumberland project. It reads what's already public about the county so people here can find it in one place, and it's built to be careful with it.
ALLEGANY AI-
Public sources, always linked
Every story comes from public sources like the city, the county and local calendars, and links back to them.
-
A person approves it
The AI drafts each edition. Nothing is published until a person has read it and said yes.
-
Run right here
It runs on a computer in Cumberland with a local AI model, not in a big tech data center.
